FLL 2009 Project

This year the FLL Theme is Transportation. One of the main parts of FLL is called the Project. For the Project, your team creates a presentation based on the theme for that year. The Project has specific things for your team to research and figure out. A link to this year's Project can be found in the Links sidebar to the right.

This year the Project challenges you to find a specific kind of problem in your community and think of creative ways to solve it. More details can be found on the Project page, which is linked to in the sidebar.

The first part of the Project is to Identify a problem with transportation in your community, whether it be your school, your neighborhood, your city, your county, or your country.

Next, make a list of the ways things get in, out, around, and through your community.

Once you finish the list, choose a way to get around. Find out more about it. How is it dangerous? Is it efficient enough? What keeps it from getting place to place? Research this.
Now find a solution. What can be done to fix this problem? How can it help? Is it possible?

Finally, share it with your community(this blog is our way). Tell about the problem, and how the solution will help. Now you need a way to show it to the judges. Do a skit. A commercial. Make a poster.

This is the Project.

The Project presentation in front of the judges can take a maximum time of five minutes.
